Kettle Bodied Linseed is used in surface coatings, enamels, light color alkyds, and varnishes because of its natural drying qualities. It is composed of a refined, bleached and winterized vegetable triglyceride oil derived from the flax plant Linum usitassimum. It has been thermally polymerized yielding a mixture of triglycerides and inter molecular polymer. It is soluble in aliphatic hydrocarbon and aromatic solvents. This product is not compatible with natural rubber, neoprene or EPDM.
